RTF is hosting a poetry contest! That’s right, it’s time to pull out your pencils and let your inner poet shine.

Let’s talk details. First, the prize. (Yeah, I know that’s what you were wondering.) If you win, you will receive a copy of Matthew West’s cd “Something to Say,” which includes a 5-song bonus cd. Your poem will be published here on RTF, and you will receive the opportunity to be featured occasionally as a guest writer.

So how do you win this awesome prize package? Here are the rules:

• Your poem must have a scripture-based view. That doesn’t mean you need to mention God in every line-  your poem just can’t promote anything the Bible says is wrong. Besides that, the topic is entirely up to you.
• 40 lines or less, please.
• The deadline is July 30th.

We’ll be judging your poems on two areas: content (we like stuff that’s unique, but 40 lines about your toes might not be the best route…) and format (rhythm/rhyme).
