“Money makes the world go ’round” is a phrase often uttered, especially in the affluent United States. Though some may scoff at this extreme notion, it is truer than it may seem.

Virtually everything on this earth costs money. Most arguments either involve politics or, you guessed it, money.

Take for instance the current NFL Lockout. I am by no means a football guru, but I do know that as of right now there is no football season because people that already make millions of dollars want even more (I know this isn’t the entire situation, but that’s not the point). According to the NFL Player’s Association, the minimum salary for an NFL player is $295,000 per year. (more…)

If you walk through the checkout line at your local grocery store, you will inevitably see the latest gossip magazines with information on who your favorite celebrity is dating that day. Boot up the Internet, and you will without a doubt see multiple blurbs about the latest celebrity gossip. Young teens all over the country become infatuated with “Bieber Fever”. What does this really mean for our society?

Matthew: You’ve been blogging since 2006, now you’ve written a book…what is it about writing that you enjoy so much? What or who first got you interested in writing?

Annie: Here is the truth- I love to talk. I love telling stories. I love entertaining people. I find it to be very challenging to do that well in written form and I like that challenge. Something about a well written paragraph, or sentence even, can take my breath away. I think it is just something that the Lord put in my heart from a young age.
