The other morning as I walked outside something caught my eye – orange flowers – my favorite color. I smiled, wondering if those flowers were my flowers – placed there just for me.
“God sends you flowers each morning as a symbol of His love for you…It’s up to you whether you receive them or not,” Shannon Primicerio wrote in God Called a Girl.
In order to send flowers, God must notice me. (more…)

A university did something crazy a few weeks ago, something totally experimental.
Harrisburg University of Science and Technology asked their 800 students to live one week without social media- Facebook, Twitter, instant messaging, all of it.
That’s right, one week with no Facebook!
The university blocked social media access to the school’s IP address, and though students could access their accounts on smart phones, most of the students complied with the ban.
What do you think about this experiment?
How would you feel having someone else block your access to your accounts?
Could you survive a week without social media?
We’d love to hear your thoughts!
P. S. If you’re interested in the results or just want to read more, you can find the whole article here.

How many of us read this verse and think; “Yes, totally! I’ll go wherever He leads me!” and then two weeks later, you’re fighting your Jonah instincts. You want to run away from what God has called you to do. Because it’s just too hard. Or so you think. (more…)
I call to You, God, because I’m sure of an answer…
So answer! Bend an ear! Listen sharp!

Dear Callie,
I know you’re going to be confused when I don’t show up at your house this afternoon and I don’t answer any of your calls. In fact, this is the last email message I’m sending you. Why? Well, it’s a really long story. (more…)
