JG: What went through your head when you heard that your music was becoming so successful?

CM: “Nunh unh… For real?!…Who says?”

JG: If you had a role model, who would that person be?

CM: This is going to make me sound old (and I’m not)…but musically, I would have to say: James Taylor.

JG: What do you admire about that person?

CM: It’s his ability to tell a story through song, and the way he communicates it through his music…oh man! It just can’t be topped.

JG: Has the focus of your music ever changed?

CM: Maybe, slightly…from impressing girls to impressing God. But I’m married now, and I’m releasing a “professional worship CD”…so I guess they both worked out.

JG: What is your inspiration for writing these songs?

CM: Life, love and Jesus.

JG: What do you try to accomplish with your music?

CM: I pray it reminds people that God, actually, really loves them, and I hope it gives them a way to express their thankfulness and love back to Him.

Jamin Goecker is an avid writer and enjoys the outdoors, whether that be while hiking, hunting, fishing, or just plain going for a run. In addition to the outdoors, he likes lifting weights, playing guitar and hanging out with friends. He plans to be a missionary some day and is going to college for that reason.
