How Do You Text It?

Admit it: You’re obsessed with texting. You can text anywhere – especially places you’re not supposed to – like through your book bag in algebra class when you think the teacher isn’t looking. You’ve probably texted in some of the weirdest places and would love to brag about it (and make a little cash while you’re at it). You’re in luck because that’s what this contest is all about!

So grab your video camera and take a video of yourself or get a friend to videotape you doing crazy stuff while texting. (DISCLAIMER: NO DRIVING VEHICLES WHILE TEXTING OR ANYTHING THAT PUTS YOURSELF OR OTHERS IN DANGER.)

Be creative. Surprise us. Doing awesome things we never thought of is what will help us determine our winner.

Like every contest, there are some rules:

• The contest starts Wednesday, October 14.
• Again, don’t do anything stupid while texting. This includes but is not limited to driving any kind of motorized vehicle or jumping off a cliff. We want to be able to say no humans were harmed in the making of this video.
• Do not use anything profane or vulgar in your film, such as nudity or offensive language. Violation of any of the rules listed = automatic disqualification.
• Upload your thirty-second-or-less video to YouTube and link it to our video “Real Teen Faith: How Do You Text It?” on our YouTube account (http://www.youtube.com/user/RealTeenFaith).  Include your first and last name and your email as youraddress (AT) server (DOT) com, for example. This is just a precaution to protect you from spammers.
• Open to teens ages 13-17, residents of the U.S. only.
• Deadline to turn in your totally amazing “How Do You Text It?” video will be on Thursday, November 26 (Thanksgiving Day).
• Winner will be contacted by email. The prize (besides the bragging rights of being crowned texting champion) will be a $30 iTunes gift card.
