Do your best, prepare for the worst– then trust GOD to bring victory. Proverbs 21:31
I’m sitting in a cold, dark room. Outside it’s brilliant. Ice, like diamonds, drips from the trees. Tomorrow I’m supposed to fly to Chicago to speak to parents of teens. Right now it seems impossible. If I can make the 70 mile drive to the airport, it will be on slick and dangerous roads. If I can drive the roads, I will be disheveled and without things like straightening irons and blowdryers to make me presentable. If I do arrive, grungy, I will stand in front of a crowd and minister.
And yet I know it’s going to be okay. I’m not big enough to make everything fall into place. I can’t make the freezing rain stop (thought Elijah did!). I can’t whisk a wand and, like Cinderella, be transformed. (more…)

Regenerate Our Culture
I stood on the Supreme Court steps in downtown Louisville at 12:02 PM shivering in the cold. All around me were people gathered around a huge statue at the foot of the steps. They were all listening to a speaker who stood at a black podium in between the huge columns at the top of the steps. These were people from all backgrounds – little children, businessmen, mothers, fathers, politicians, doctors, teenagers, and college students.
We were all gathered because abortion was legalized 36 years ago.
As I looked around at the faces, I realized that most of us were survivors of a genocide. A genocide that has taken almost 45 million lives away from our nation. A genocide that was taking a life every 20 seconds. A genocide that could have taken me.
But I was not aborted.
A few kids were holding signs that said “Stop Abortion Now” and “Abortion Kills.” I wasn’t holding anything, but I wish I was – I wish I could hold a sign up, wave a flag, yell, scream, or do anything to stop what was going on at that very minute. (more…)
Real Teen Faith has a limited number of openings for teen writers who want to publish their poetry, devos, reviews, or interviews.
Real Teen Faith staff writers receive mentoring from Real Teen Faith founder, T. Suzanne Eller. One RT teen staff member has just published her first book. Another will soon follow. Others are writing novels and interviews and taking their passion for writing to deeper levels. But most of all these teen writers impact thousands of teens every month.
We are especially looking for a teen who loves to talk about teen culture in light of faith, or a teen who loves music and would write reviews as well as connect with up and coming bands.

“The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.” – Proverbs 18:10, NIV
Normally, when storms circle I stand out in the middle, unprotected from the elements, trying to deal with it the best I can on my own.
I’m not sure exactly what standing out in the middle of the storm accomplishes other than making me cold and miserable.
But this year, I’m determined to endure the storms differently. This year, I’m going to be what some would call a coward. (more…)

(Proverbs 1:20-33)
Waiting in the streets
To rescue from night
Wisdom cries, for people
To follow The Light
Wisdom shoved aside;
People running past
“Listen to my fated plea!
Listen to truth at last!”
Wisdom speaks loudly
Through many voices
Of those around you
Forewarning choices (more…)
