What can one teen do?

Excerpt of news article: Rebecca St. James, one of the most successful female contemporary Christian music artists, is joining an effort with Compassion International in the fight against malaria.
Today is “World Malaria Day,” a day set aside to spotlight a disease that impacts millions worldwide. Malaria is a potentially fatal blood disease and is spread by infected mosquitoes. In fact, each year, 350 million to 500 million people contract malaria. More than a million people die annually from the disease, with African children under the age of five accounting for 75 percent of the deaths.
St. James is working with Compassion International to raise awareness and funds to help fight the disease. She says she never realized how widespread malaria was throughout the world until she started working with Compassion.
“These kids are going to sleep each night hoping and praying that they won’t be infected in the night through a mosquito with malaria because it’s going to kill them, unless they have a ministry like Compassion that will give them the antidote for it,” she shares. “And so it’s just one of those things where we need to get involved … Read the rest of this article to see how you can get involved.
