Dear RTF and Suzie, I have recently wanted to be closer to God. My family does not go to church, and I don’t know if my sister even believes there is a God. I do believe there is one, but I need a starting point, and I don’t know where to begin, because I feel my life would be more meaningful if I had a closer relationship to God.
Please give me some ideas of how I can do this, I would greatly appreciate it. And also, can I do this without going to church, or would it be better to attend a church if I could? Because I actually do like to go to church, when I go with my grandma. Thank you so much. Erin H. (more…)

Rough youth was a path to teen ministry
Greg Stier’s Dare 2 Share
Excerpt: One of Greg Stier’s earliest and most vivid memories is of his mother taking a baseball bat to smash a car and then bloody the man inside it, one of a string of husbands. Stier, founder of the Arvada-based international youth ministry Dare 2 Share, later converted his own fierce mother to Christianity.

Hello,
I was just seeking some counsel. I have grown up in church and have known God all throughout my life. My friends have always said that I have a unique and close relationship with God. I am 16 years old and a junior in high school. Right now I feel like I am being pulled away from God. I don’t know how to explain it.
