I Kissed Dating Goodbye by Josh Harris
Review by Rachel MôK, RTF Staff Writer
I first read this book when I was 14 years old, well most people think I was weird, why? Because that is THE AGE when “dating” in High School is cool, apparently its the “in” thing. I mean why would a 14-year-old girl be thinking about a long term commitment, in other words marriage. All she would think is, “oh that guy is cute, I think I like him.”
Sadly, high school flings are getting more common these days, in fact I use to think that
was alright, part of teenage life and growing up, but I have changed that mind-set. (more…)

I Will Go by: Debra Weiss
I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD: Psalms 71:16a (KJV)
Dear Lord, if me You send, into some small town, I will go.
Dear Lord if me You send, into the jungles of Africa, I will go.
Dear Lord, if me You send to my neighbor down the street, I will go.
Dear Lord if me You do not send, in a small town, the jungle, or to my neighbor, then right here I will stand.
Dear Lord, if me You do not send, then right here I will stand, awaiting Your gentle voice, Your quiet guidance.

Deeper Devotions for Christian Students is just that — it’s a web
site for teens who want to be thinking Christians. Some of the titles of the devos made me want to dig deeper, which is what a devo should do. I read through a few of the devos. Some are excellent. Some are okay. Read them with a Bible in hand.

I heard this in a prayer once and it has really stuck with me. This is the kind of person that I want to be. I hope that it encourages you to do something big with your life today!! Ashley Phillips, RTF Staff Writer
To be a confident and secret keeper,
and know all your plans for what will come to be.
I’m tired of seeing people who just praise in steeples.
I want to see people who will be the key.

I am serene. I have full awareness of what I have chosen … If I must die, I will die. Somebody, a long time ago, did it for all of us … I never thought it would end this way. But I am ready to face the consequences. - Abdul Rahman, an Afghan convert to Christianity, quoted in AP
Am I Willing?
by Kelsey Shaw, guest writer
To think about a person having to fight for their right to go to church, believe in God, and talk about it, is strange and unfamiliar in the good ol’ U. S. of A. To add to that, the fact he is not scared to believe in something that may get him killed is mind blowing. It makes me wonder, if I were in his position, would I do the same? Would I still have a relationship with Jesus? (more…)
