I heard this in a prayer once and it has really stuck with me. This is the kind of person that I want to be. I hope that it encourages you to do something big with your life today!! Ashley Phillips, RTF Staff Writer
To be a confident and secret keeper,
and know all your plans for what will come to be.
I’m tired of seeing people who just praise in steeples.
I want to see people who will be the key.
People who rise up despite the cost,
and who’ll give all they have for the trinity.
To count all that’s gained from the world as lost,
and serve the world with humble serenity.
People of grace, compassion, and love,
People who want to share the blessings of heaven above.
People who will tell of all the things you have done,
People who will fight till the death, or till the battle’s won.
People who praise you in spite of their day,
and work for you to have all the glory.
People who see others your way, with love
and forgiveness; through the eyes of Christ’s story.
I want to see people who will rise up for the King.
People who will give it all to tell your story.
I want more than anything to be with the ones who will see
you in all your majesty and in all your glory.
Will you use me, O Lord, as a person for you?
To spread joy and love, to tell everyone your truth.
In big ways or small it doesn’t matter to me,
As long as you get all the glory, Daddy.
Ashley is an 18 year old who loves to sing and write. She just graduated from high school and attending college in the fall. She plans to major in Religious studies and Music and then travel the world spreading the gospel and leading people into the presence of God through worship!
