First and Last

I want to be first to lend a helping hand,
and the last to point a finger in blame,

I want to be first to encourage,
and the last to spread rumors,

I want to be first to forgive,
last to hold a grudge,

I want to be first to smile,
and the last to frown,

I want to be first to speak Your name,
and the last to be silent,

I want to be first to love this hurting world,
and the very last to pass judgement!
