Place for the Insane

One night you were all alone
She said her heart was cold like stone
You tried to melt the ice away
Just to make her stay in some place safe
She felt it leaking out of her eye
She hid, you found her lying in the night
She still remains, standing out of sight
She cries…
Her tears never dry
She stands the rain
And she can only wait this time
Wait for something, something is coming
She stepped to darkness from the run
Then dropped into the burning sun
Relief then exited her mind
Her spirit entered in a shaken bind
And she’s no longer staid
She lapsed into the insane
Her tears never dry
She stands the rain
And she can only wait this time

Her bare soul is severed
But she is clever
She covers sick
Here she is pricked
She breathes but suffocates
She screams but is not heard
She needs you, she needs you
Her tears never dry
She stands the rain

She uncovers the shame
Here she meets grace
