From Flipswitch series - BUZZ
by Marcus Brotherton
Only 64 pages, but packed with graphics, quizzes, factoids, and. . .
TRUTH.
One half of the book is about the BUZZ of alcohol and drugs, then you flip it over and you get to read about the BUZZ of faith.
Here’s an excerpt from page 21.
You know it. When asked to choose your favorite TV commercial in a recent study of teenagers, television, and alcohol ads, more of you chose Budweiser than any other brand, including Pepsi, Nike, and Levis. This past year you saw more television ads for beer than gum, skin-care products, cookies and crackers, chips, nuts, popcorn and pretzels, sneakers, noncarbonated soft drinks, and jeans.
Advertisers dig you. They especially dig young chicks. Over the past year you saw more alcohol advertising in magazines than adults did, and if you’re underage and female, you were more exposed to this advertising than underage guys.
The Buzz is here. Almost one in five of you drank in the last 30 days. About one in 10 say you are binge drinkers, about one in forty-five of you call yourself a heavy drinker.

FROM RT FAITH: When I first received this book, I wasn’t sure what to think, but then I opened it and I saw that they didn’t play around with this topic. They didn’t try to spiritualize it, the author just got very real about the hype and the message behind it, and then the reality of a life BUZZED by the wrong things.
I think you need to get your hands on this book. It’s packed with truth. Easy to read, and just might open the eyes of someone you love — or give you the leverage you need to walk away from a life of BUZZ.
