From RTF: One of my favorite blogs is Agent Tim Online. He’s a guy who has attracted a lot of attention because he’s a teen — and he’s speaking out on faith. He’s even got his own podcast and it’s amazing.
This is Tim’s take on humility (printed with Tim’s permission).
Humility - Not Normal
Humility isn’t something that comes naturally for anyone, although it certainly does seem to be easier for others to display. I am certainly not one of those lucky few. In fact as I sat down this morning to read Growing Up Christian I took at small test to see where I stood and ended up right where I thought I was - right in the middle, still growing in humility. Some might see themselves as hypocritical - I see it as still growing in humility. (more…)

~Real Article~
Author: Rick Lawrence
A few years ago I asked youth groups to produce a 60-second TV commercial advertising what kids want most from adults. We got 30 or so entries representing every niche on the quality continuum. Good or bad, the commercials shared a common cry—young people desperately want adults to respect them.
They want responsibility. They want to be heard. And above all, they don’t want to be treated like children. (more…)

The Case for Christianity:
“Whenever you find a man who says he doesn’t believe in a real Right and Wrong, you will find the same man going back on this a moment later.”
“This year, or this month, or, more likely, this very day, we have failed to practise ourselves the kind of behaviour we expect from other people.”
“Human beings, all over the earth, have this curious idea that they ought to behave in a certain way, and can’t really get rid of it.”
“Safety and happiness can only come from individuals, classes, and nations being honest and fair and kind to each other.”
“Reality, in fact, is always something you couldn’t have guessed. That’s one of the reasons I believe Christianity. It’s a religion you couldn’t have guessed.”
“Badness is only spoiled goodness.”
“God has landed on this enemy-occupied world in human form…The perfect surrender and humiliation was undergone by Christ: perfect because He was God, surrender and humiliation because He was man.”
“Now is our chance to choose the right side. God is holding back to give us that chance. It won’t last forever. We must take it or leave it.”

Letting You Take Command
by Hannah-Liz
Sometimes, Lord, in You it seems
Hard to put my trust,
But to my heart You whisper that
I must.
You tell me that my life I have to
Place in Your hands,
To step down from the rank of captain
And let You take command. (more…)

I want to show people—especially young people—that success is closer than they may think. And I want people to realize that God is the key to success.
I want to encourage people to set goals for their lives—the higher the better. If we think big and believe big, we’ll act big and move in big ways. As a result, we’ll enjoy life in a big way. Life really is to enjoy—to have fun and laugh a lot. If we’re not enjoying our life, something isn’t right.
Forget your adverse circumstances. God is greater than what’s going on around you. Lean on Him. You will make it through. Shaun Alexander, 2005 NFL Most Valuable Player, from his new book TouchDown Alexander (written by Shaun Alexander and Cecil Murphey — Harvest House, July, 2006)

I coined the term freethinking to describe a mind that is free of game playing, free of bondage, free of self-absorption. A mind in pursuit of being surrendered to the passions and dreams of Jesus is truly free. I’ve often had to learn this the hard way on my journey of faith. But I’ve come to realize that the more I surrender, the more I am able to be free from the bondage of worry, anxiety, and depression. It’s not like I don’t ever feel those things; I do, but they no longer define who I am. They don’t lock me up in a cage. They don’t control me. My pursuit of being dependent on Jesus sets me free from that cage.
Mathew Paul Turner, author of Mind Games
~Real Scripture~
Fix your thoughts on what is true and honorable and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Philippians 4:8 (New Living Testament)

I need advice badly.
While I was on vacation my cousin’s birthday came. So I was planning to call him. But the day of his birthday I was really sick. I never even left my hotel room. And now he’s mad at me, and I don’t know what to do. I told him I was sorry but he’s still mad at me. And all I’m thinking about is how can I be so stupid and forget to call him.
Please give me advice ASAP. Thanks
