Do you ever feel anxious?
Anxiety usually comes from three sources:
You feel insecure — something bad is going to/might happen
You feel helpless — there is nothing you can do
You feel isolated — there is no one to help
What does the Bible say about anxiety? In one verse it says, “cast your cares upon God for he cares for you”.
That’s awesome. You don’t have to carry your fears or cares alone.
Let’s look at another verse. This is what it says in Proverbs 3:21-26
Keep sound wisdom and discretion, So they will be life to your soul and adornment to your neck. Then you will walk in your way securely and your foot will not stumble. When you lie down, you will not be afraid; When you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. Do not be afraid of sudden fear nor of the onslaught of the wicked when it comes; for the LORD will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being caught.
From RT: When you feel alone, insecure, or helpless, you can turn to something greater, God, for wisdom and guidance. His words are helpful. His presence in your life can help you face difficult things, knowing you are not alone. He is your confidence.
If you are anxious today, can we pray for you?
Father, I pray for the teen reading this today. Help them to know that you care very much about them and their situation. Help them to feel you and your presence today.
